When we decided to set ourselves the challenge to create a solid, single-use plastic free shampoo, it was partially inspired by a wish to help eradicate all of the millions of tiny plastic shampoo, shower gel and body lotion bottles in hotels around the world.
Last week, we were delighted to deliver our first order of plastic free toiletries to Luxury Five Star Lodge owner, Pauline Barrow. Pauline is the proprietor of Rosehill Lodges on the North Cornish Coast. Pauline has been setting the standard for eco-tourism and has ensured every detail is covered in her quest to combine sustainability with luxury. She has certainly achieved this and we were delighted to have worked with her to enable her to go 100% plastic free!
Pauline approached us back in April after hearing about our Beauty Kubes and she asked us to work with her to help her go the extra mile in ensuring her lodges were completely plastic free. Pauline was determined to achieve plastic free status for her beautiful lodges by working towards the Surfer’s Against Sewage Plastic Free Communities scheme.
She has now achieved this and we are delighted that she has helped us get our first amenity sized plastic free products replacing some of those plastic bottles and tubes!
We are very lucky to be situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the country with some of the most fantastic coastlines. Communities all over the country are pledging to go plastic free to help keep our oceans and environment free from plastic, and that can only happen when people like Pauline make the effort to make positive changes.
Rosehill Lodges are situated just a five-minute walk from Porthtowan beach; one of Cornwall’s finest. It is enjoyed by surfers, dog walkers and sun worshippers alike, and is definitely worth a visit. Pauline’s lodges are ideal for anyone who wants a luxurious, restful holiday with the added reassurance that they are not having a negative impact on the environment. So if you fancy sitting in a hot tub gazing at the stars, you will certainly be guaranteed a very warm welcome from Pauline and her fabulous team!
